i am facing a problem. please help me .

i have created a publishing site collection . inside this site collection there is a custom master page and two layouts, one for home page and one for inner pages. ok.

i have used your master page as basis.

the problem is scroll bars are not rendering in chrome. while works perfectly in Mozilla and ie. form bellow source.

i found that i use an script before the master page then it will work. the script is bellow

<script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(document).ready(function() { jQuery("#s4-workspace").height(jQuery(window).height() - jQuery("#s4-ribbonrow").height()); }); </script>

when i paste this script then i works fine . means scroll bar comes bus only on homepage not on inner pages.

in chrome from i inspect rendered html, the avobe script throws error . here is the message.

Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined.

now i can not understand what is happening with my inner page layouts or with css . please some one guide me.

i have used a webpart searchboxex on the masterpage. if i remove this webpart then probulem

goes away.

is there any way to remove this webpart ? for ex. if i want to use simply a text box and a

button to search. can i write some code to search.

any way problem lies in searchbox. please help.
