Hi I am using the starter master page in a site - with minimal mods.

Everything works great except! datasheet view.

Scenario:

Use IE9 - pretty liberal settings / trusted site (sharepoint foundation 2010).

Visit a page that is rendered using this master (the master by the way has been specified as the default).

Site Actions > View All Site Content > Shared Documents > Open the Ribbon (shows Standard View) > Click on Datasheet View

IE pops up a window saying:

The list cannot be displayed in datasheet view for the following reasons: Active X component, etc.

Could it be IE9?

Anyone else facing this.  Ive have NO other issues by using the master pages.  I did very little mods to the starter pages / is there some code missing that would enable the Datasheet???

cant advise on IE9 as i haven't used IE9 to test my sites yet... is this a 64 bit machine?

yes 64 bit.

tried the same rendered page on a 32 bit windows os, and datasheet rendered fine.

I guess its a component malfunctionr, and not something missing from the master page code.
